Individual Membership

Individual Membership

The Psychology of Technology Institute (PTI) is a non-profit network that protects and improves psychological health for society by advancing our understanding and effective use of transformative technologies.  We have built a growing, dynamic, and interdisciplinary network of the world’s leading scientists, technologists, and intellectuals who study technology’s effects on psychological outcomes.

We welcome all interested parties to subscribe to our newsletter, where we provide access to research, discussions of how technology impacts psychological outcomes, and announcements about public events and programs. (To do so, please use the form below.)

In order to create a meaningful community, we limit formal membership to academics, technology professionals, technology-focused MBA students, and policy professionals who share an explicit desire to build a better future by being constructive, evidence-based, and focused on the psychological outcomes of technology adoption.   Individual membership is free, though we hope that members who derive great benefit consider asking their institutions to become supporting institutional members.

Membership includes:

  • Access to our community platforms to discuss research and form collaborations with like minded professionals.

  • Amplification of members’ work within the Psych of Tech network and to the wider public.

  • Priority consideration for invitation to events (e.g., interdisciplinary retreats, conferences, tech talks).

  • Early announcements for grants and postdoctoral scholarships.

While we are not actively soliciting membership applications, we are always interested in collaborating with talented individuals who are already active in the technology, academic, MBA or policy communities and who share our values and mission. If you would like to join our community, please use this form to indicate interest.
